Drew Sims

As founder and Chairman of the Board of Directors, Mr. Sims brings over four decades of experience in the lodging business to OTH. His experience includes being a General Manager, Vice President of Development and later President of MHI Hospitality, Founder, CEO and Chairman of Sotherly Hotels (“SOHO” on NASDAQ), and recently Chairman for OTH Hotels Resorts. As a third-generation member of the family business, Mr. Sims continues a 100-year legacy of hospitality excellence.

Mr. Sims is a graduate of Washington & Lee University, with a bachelor’s degree in commerce. Mr. Sims is the president of the Sotherly Foundation, a charity supporting veterans and he previously served on the Franchise Advisory Board for Hilton Hotels. He has also been involved in the community as a former trustee and basketball coach for Walsingham Academy. Mr. Sims resides in Williamsburg, Virginia with his wife of forty-five years and has three grown children and eight grandchildren.
